A bushing for an HSS (High-Speed Steel) keyway broach is a component used in machining operations to guide and support the broach during the process of cutting keyways into workpieces. Keyway broaches are specialized cutting tools designed to create keyways, which are narrow slots used for securing keys or other components in mechanical assemblies, such as gears, pulleys, and shafts.


Keyway bushing:

1. Inch or metric size.
2. Specialty tools designed to be used in conjunction with standard keyway broaches for cutting.
3. These tools are hardened and ground cylinders with slots cut into one side.
4. Designed to be used manually with an arbor press and broaches to produce the keyways.
5. Designed to act as guides to position and direct the keyway broach through the cutting stroke.

The material of bushings is 40Cr. The packing is 1pc in a plastic tube.

There are two kinds of bushings: collared bushing and plain bushing.
