The welding and straightening assembly integrated machine is a specialized equipment for efficiently welding H beams.

It combines the functions of three separate devices in a typical H-beam welding production line: assembly machine, gantry welder, and flange straightening machine, into a single machine.

This significantly shortens the production process for welding H-beams, thereby reducing the number of operators, minimizing the equipment's footprint, and enhancing welding production efficiency.

The welding and straightening assembly integrated machine is composed of components such as input roller conveyors, pre-alignment devices, welding assembly mainframe, auxiliary straightening equipment, output roller conveyors, welding flux recovery system, welding system, hydraulic system, and electrical control system.


1. The input roller conveyor consists of three sections, with two sections located near the mainframe being active roller conveyors, and one section located away from the mainframe being a passive roller conveyor.

 Among the two active roller conveyors, one is equipped with an involute pinwheel reducer, which is directly driven by a chain connected to three rollers on the conveyor. The other active roller conveyor receives power via a chain from the sprocket on the first roller conveyor. The passive roller conveyor, located away from the mainframe, has no power and only supports a portion of the workpiece's weight.

2. The function of the preliminary alignment device is to initially align the flanges and web plates placed on the roller conveyor, ensuring their smooth entry into the mainframe. The preliminary alignment device consists of a set of active alignment mechanisms positioned between the mainframe and the roller conveyor. The active alignment mechanisms are powered by two hydraulic cylinders, which individually drive the flange and web plate alignment mechanisms. The passive alignment device transmits power from the active alignment mechanisms through two connecting rods, synchronously accomplishing the alignment process.

3. The welding assembly machine is used for precise alignment and welding of the flanges and web plates. It first welds them into an inverted T-shape and then into an H-shape. The structure of the welding assembly machine is similar to the assembly machine and consists of upper gantry and base components. The upper gantry components include a crossbeam, columns, lifting beams, pressure roller assembly, upper pressure cylinder, auxiliary clamping device, etc. Their primary function is to press the workpieces from the top, eliminating gaps in the weld seams between the web and flange plates. The power for the upper gantry components is provided by the upper pressure cylinder fixed on the crossbeam, with the primary working part being the pressure roller assembly located underneath the lifting beam. The columns and lifting beams serve as guiding elements. The guiding wheel axles on the lifting beam have an eccentric structure that allows adjustment of the gap between the guiding wheel and the guide rail. The pressure roller assembly is mounted at the lower end of the lifting beam, and the center position of its pressure rollers can be finely adjusted. The base is a crucial component that determines the performance of the welding assembly machine and is composed of web plate alignment mechanisms, web plate alignment mechanisms, the main drive mechanism, alignment device, welding torch adjustment device, etc. The web plate and web plate alignment mechanisms use a hydraulic motor-driven synchronous automatic alignment method. The power is transmitted to two sets of web plate clamping rollers and two sets of web plate clamping rollers on both sides through a hydraulic motor, worm gear reducer, gears, and screw nut. The accuracy of web plate and web plate alignment is pre-adjusted at the factory, eliminating the need to measure the workpiece during operation or adjust the alignment mechanisms based on the workpiece's specifications. Instead, the alignment can be easily and quickly adjusted by pressing the corresponding operation buttons, making it very convenient.

The main drive mechanism consists of an involute pinwheel reducer that drives a chain on the intermediate shaft via sprockets and chains. This chain on the intermediate shaft further drives the main rollers' rotation. Another sprocket on the intermediate shaft drives the rotation of the passive rollers at the rear end of the base via chains. There are two sets of passive rollers between the main rollers and the passive rollers. Underneath the front end of the base, there is a transition shaft device that primarily transfers power from the intermediate shaft to the lower straightening rollers on the straightening auxiliary machine. Whether it's the main rollers, passive rollers, lower straightening rollers, or the rollers on the active roller conveyor, their transmission linear speeds are essentially the same.

The alignment device is used to align the front ends of the web plate and flange plate and consists of alignment plates, alignment seats, and pivot pins. When alignment is required, the alignment plates are lifted, and then they are lowered after alignment is achieved.

The welding torch adjustment device is a critical component for ensuring welding quality. It not only allows adjustment of the welding torch position but also plays a role in repositioning the web plate. There is no need for manual welding to position the web plate before welding. The welding torch adjustment device can adjust the position of the welding torch in both vertical and horizontal directions according to the workpiece's specifications and can also adjust the angle of the welding torch. Once the welding torch position is set, it needs to be locked in place. After positioning, the welding torch can move away from or close to the weld seam position in the vertical and horizontal directions through the action of hydraulic cylinders.

4. The output roller conveyor also consists of three sections, with two sections located near the mainframe being active lifting roller conveyors, and one section located away from the mainframe being a passive roller conveyor. The active lifting roller conveyors have an additional set of lifting rollers, which are hydraulically driven for lifting. Their main function is to continue supporting the workpiece when it deforms or tilts during welding, preventing the workpiece from falling off the roller conveyor and damaging it.

5. The hydraulic system is the primary power unit for the alignment and positioning actions of the welding and straightening assembly integrated machine. It consists of a hydraulic station, hydraulic hoses, upper pressure cylinder, flange plate clamping hydraulic motor, web plate clamping hydraulic motor, welding torch lifting cylinder, welding torch traverse cylinder, preliminary alignment flange plate clamping cylinder, preliminary alignment web plate clamping cylinder, roller conveyor lifting cylinder, and more.

6. The welding system can be configured according to welding process requirements with options such as single-wire single-arc, single-wire dual-arc, dual-wire dual-arc submerged arc welding, and gas-shielded welding. It consists of a welding power source, wire feeder, welding torch, control box, and more.

7. The electrical control system consists of an electrical control box, operator panel, control cables, and more. Its primary function is to control the forward and reverse rotation, stoppage, and speed adjustment of the main drive motor, the start and stop of the hydraulic station motor, and the on-off actions of various functional unit solenoid valves.

8. The flux recovery system consists of a flux recovery machine, flux drum, flux hopper, flux transport pipe, flux recovery pipe, and more. Its main function is to continuously transport the flux required for submerged arc welding to the weld seam position and continuously recover the flux around the weld seam surface during the welding process, allowing the flux to be continuously reused.
